Whether it’s making sure we comply with OFCOM, FCA or SOX legislation or investigating activities that minimise revenue leakage, we study the facts, figures and information to provide independent, advisory-style and assurance support.
We flag and reduce the risk of company decisions or activities causing problems, going awry or being illegal (which just isn’t us, to be fair).
We’re a big business, so it’s really important we focus – all the time – on how we communicate with our people, our customers and the wider world. In Corporate Affairs, that’s what we do, covering internal and external communications, public policy and regulatory affairs as well as sustainability and regional affairs.
Within our awesome communications teams, we have a bunch of wordsmiths who carefully craft our messaging so it’s totally on point (just like this). We’re a creative, engaging brand and crisp, clean communication is crucial when dealing with the media as we promote and protect our company and reputation 24/7, whether we’re proudly revealing great new products and services or firefighting if an issue arises.
Our internal communications team are a focused, creative and passionate bunch. Their challenge is to bring the Virgin brand to life for our people. Making sure we have a culture our people want to rave about, ensuring everyone has the information they need and telling our Virgin Media story in a meaningful and magical way.
But we don’t just talk the talk. Our public policy and regulatory affairs team works closely with the Government and regulatory authorities to make sure that the rules of the game work to our advantage. The team fights Virgin Media’s corner, lobbying on issues or legislation that affects us.
The sustainability team support Virgin Media in giving back to the world, managing our corporate responsibility efforts, charity partnerships and environmental policies and process. After all, we want to grow the business in a way that’s sustainable, charitable and in line with our values and commitments.
Our Regional Affairs team looks after Virgin Media’s relationships with local government and councils building connections that really matter, which is crucial as we continue to expand our ultrafast broadband network across the UK.
Workspaces should rock and roll, that’s our mantra. We’re in the business of creating environments that are engaging, fun and fresh. We’re ambassadors for sustainability, drivers of employee satisfaction and promoters of positive behaviours.
