This is an exciting time to join Virgin Media as a Senior Commercial Analyst as you will be responsible for developing short and medium term strategy and activities to grow and protect the value of the base. Activities will involve but not be limited to develop Virgin Red’s proposition and understand Virgin Media’s customer base behaviours

Key Accountabilities
* Strong awareness of all base trading commercial targets and ensuring there is a plan in place to meet key KPIs
* Analyse and model different ideas to feed into an overarching strategy to drive base revenues, and optimise the use of resources
* Analyse data to get a good understanding of customer behaviour (e.g. new joiners vs long tenure, high discounts vs low discounts, etc..) to inform possible strategic actions to be taken to address possible value and revenue opportunities
* Be the lead for the development and scaling of the Virgin Red’s proposition, working internally with Finance, Marketing and Operations and externally with the Virgin Red team
* Develop a plan for Virgin Red and the overall role of loyalty In Virgin Media’s longer term strategy
* Be the main point of contact for intelligent call routing, liaising with teams across Virgin Media to identify solutions to optimise management of our customers once they contact us. This will include projects such as Afiniti and GDA
* Gain a high level understanding of what is required to bring ideas to life - liaising with other parts of the business to get inputs into lead times, capex and resource requirements
* Work with other teams in Virgin Media such as Finance, Base Trading, Marketing and Customer Operations to optimise Base Value
* Immediately recognise risks and identify the corrective course of action or request further analysis/investigation in order to address possible revenue risks in our customer base
* Undertake post-event analysis to drive continuous improvement on key KPIs such as revenue and churn
* Build a good understanding of consumer behaviour - not just via analysing data but also by liaising with the Customer Contact operation

Essential Knowledge, Experience and Skills
* Educated to degree level or higher
* Strong commercial acumen and ability to analyse data
* Extremely strong in your use of Excel and PowerPoint as a means to communicate your ideas to different audiences - through modelling exercises and presentations
* Creative, with bold and original ideas that will ultimately drive business success
* Ability to see beyond the task to the overall purpose and engage people around a strategy, creating an energising and rewarding environment to work in
* Tenacity in delivering results and driving projects to completion
* Adept at operating in ambiguity - you must have your ‘finger on the pulse’ even when there is incomplete data to work from
* Ability to exercise judgement to make timely and sound decisions
