£38,000 - £42,000 plus other excellent benefits

Our commercial function acts as the architect of our revenue growth in the consumer division through customer value propositioning, proposition development and design, base management, pricing, go-to-market activity and forecasting. The team works cross-functionally to lead process design which creates our portfolio of profit-maximising products and packages, leading to growth in operating cash flow increases our NPS and optimises ROI.

We are looking for a number of driven, capable commercial executives to join our commercial function in either mobile, retention or in-life trading teams. The specific team you join will be dependent on where we think your core capabilities best lie (as well as what you might have a preference for!) but the core skills that we are looking for are broadly the same across the different teams.

The roles

Commercial Executives at Virgin Media are responsible tracking of performance across a range of different metrics as well as overseeing the end-to-end execution of bringing successful channel specific propositions to market by working with the Sales teams to develop plans to grow both volume and revenue by identify risks/opportunities.  

Key accountabilities

  • Support the Senior Commercial Manager in all necessary activities relating to specific channel activity. These would include the ownership of the relationship with various channels as well as all advocacy offers used to promote loyalty of current staff and customers 
  • Tracking the trading performance of specific channels across a range of different metrics (sales, product holding, revenue, average Arpu, premium attach etc.) to share with the channels and with the wider Commercial team identifying trends and opportunities 
  • Ensuring we are monitoring performance on an array of metrics (churn, revenue, ARPU etc.) and working with Commercial Managers and channels to take corrective action and deliver continued growth – reacting to key trading pressures
  • Responsible for daily, weekly and monthly performance. Responsible for tracking performance, identifying risks and opportunities across Movers and Digital channels, working closely with Commercial Managers (channel performance owners) to articulate these risks and opportunities
