Sales Engineer

Sales Engineer, Hook. An exciting opportunity to join one of our dynamic Presales teams within Virgin Media Business. You’ll provide outstanding Sales Engineering dedicated technical support to customers and Sales colleagues and be the technical lead for VMB in major accounts and strategic acquisition accounts, establishing relationships with technical peers and contacts within customer organisations.

The Sales Engineer will understand the customer’s technical landscape and will be able to effectively qualify opportunities earlier in the sales cycle; become the ‘trusted technical advisor’ and work closely with the Sales community contributing to account strategy, planning and development. You’ll engage key relevant stakeholders within Sales to identify and maximise opportunities for VMB in target accounts.

So what are we looking for? Develop technical solutions that meet the business requirements of aligned accounts and target acquisition accounts and win significant and / or strategic opportunities delivering associated revenue streams into VMB. Proactively work with customers to develop innovative technical solutions which meet their business needs and demonstrate positive business outcomes. Create winning responses to customer bids and / or create formal proposal documentation demonstrating the VMB value proposition while responding accurately to questions and addressing customer business needs. Demonstrate clear Virgin Media Business influence and preference in customer bid documentation wherever possible. Ensure that Sales are guided effectively on the most profitable approaches to building solutions, ensuring that the Commercial, Sales and Finance teams have a full understanding of what is required and the appropriate models to support them. Champion brilliant customer service, be conscious of and contribute to improving VMB’s (Virgin Media Business) NPS Score. Closely interlock with the Solution Architecture teams to ensure hand over of non-standard opportunities is clearly defined and documented; always retain oversight and technical ownership of non-standard opportunities and customer engagement.
