Who are our Provisioning Engineers?
They’re the technical geniuses responsible for configuring our expanding network and for coordinating the work of our field-based engineers. Most of their time is spent on laptops in offices but they also go on site visits when needed.
Get end-to-end exposure
Your job will be to design, plan and implement network connections for our business customers. Problem-solving is a major part of the role. There’s also lots of communication and teamwork involved – especially when it comes to guiding engineers through onsite installations.
Supercharge your skills
You’ll learn everything you need to be an expert provisioning engineer including how to:
- Allocate technical resource for data products
- Update and configure services on planning databases
- Use vendor back office systems such as IPSA and SAM for Cisco
- Install and implement equipment for standard solutions
What we look for
Curious, technically minded problem-solvers who love nothing more than figuring out the details of how things work. The role involves lots of collaboration and customer-facing work, so you must be a strong communicator and relationship-builder. You also need to be super-confident using computer systems.

Apprenticeship: Network Engineer Level 4
Duration: 24 months
Start date: September 2021
Location: Reading
Requirements: 5 GCSEs A*-C including Maths and English (level 4-9) or technical level 3 apprenticeship (or equivalent).
Salary: £20,000 plus amazing benefits. At the halfway point of the scheme you can expect a salary increase to £23,000, and on successful completion of the scheme our apprentices typically move into roles with salaries in the region of £26,000-£28,000.
