Demand Analyst Apprentices will be working in our Smart Metering team, who are responsible for delivering a multi-billion, multi-year programme. You’ll work on the world’s largest National Critical Infrastructure projects, supported by the UK Government. Your role will be to support the wider team in the planning and demand progression throughout project lifecycles. 


Build skills for the future 

Be responsible for the management of demand and the reporting that comes along with it, as well as the communication with key partners to ensure everyone is aligned and escalation routes are clear. This is a big programme with more than 250 people working on it, and so far, it has saved around 600 million tons of CO2 admissions, so you’ll leave a huge impact on our business and the community. This apprenticeship will teach you all about the processes and governance that comes with demand, as well as change within the overall Smart Metering portfolio. Day-to-day, tasks you will own include: 

  • End-to-end demand management and planning process for Smart Metering 
  • Supporting the Project Management Office (PMO) in the maintenance, improvement and execution of Change Requests as well as coordinating the process 
  • Collaborating with the PMO team to manage communications with the wider business on the status and progress of delivery

Candidates also need at least 5 GCSES Level 9-4 including Maths and English, or a Level 2 Apprenticeship or equivalent. Other qualities we’d like to see include:

What is involved with studying for an apprenticeship? 

Your apprenticeship is made up of learning on the job, but also gaining the academic skills to put into practice in your day-to-day job. As a result, you’ll complete the apprenticeship as part of a structured learning programme alongside working in the role. The learning programme is made up of a suite of modules and milestones and you’ll be required to evidence your work against these modules via tasks and assignments. For some apprenticeships, you may also undertake additional technical qualifications, which include studying for, and taking an exam. Once you have completed your modules and milestones, you’ll then move to your End Point Assessment (EPA) which is typically made up of an interview and a project. Once you pass this stage, you will receive your apprenticeship qualification with us.

Requirements: 5 GCSES Level 9-4 including Maths and English, or a Level 2 Apprenticeship or equivalent
Salary: Starting salary of £21,500, with an increase to £24,500 after 12 months. Final salaries start from £25,500 + amazing benefits
