How long have you worked for Virgin Media Business?

I’ve been with Virgin Media Business (VMB) for just over a year. One year and two months to be exact.

What made you join the business?

I was looking for a new challenge and the role looked exciting with plenty of scope to make my mark. So I just went for it and here I am.

Sounds like it was perfect for you, can you tell me a little more about your role?

Yes of course, so I’m a Customer Campaign Manager. It’s my job to create and manage marketing campaigns targeted at our existing medium and large enterprise customers known as the MLE sector.

It’s a great role, as I mentioned plenty of scope and ways to get creative.

What’s the training like in Virgin Media Business?

The training here is really good and there are lots of courses available for you to go on. Just discuss any of these with your line manager to ensure that the course you select is aligned to your objectives and where you need to focus and develop. This is something that I think is great about the business and the opportunity to develop your current knowledge is so important. For example, I recently went on a Product training course, which was great; it will certainly help me to market our solutions to our existing customers.

Are there many progression opportunities?

I’ve only been here just over a year. But as a growth business we are constantly changing and improving so I would say yes. Plus, hard work does get you recognised and I would like to think that when the time is right to do something different, I would look to find another role within Virgin Media Business.

What’s it like to work here?

It’s a really friendly organisation, very team orientated with a very busy agenda. The culture is pretty unique and I think this is what makes us such a desirable place to work. Definitely a place I would recommend.

Do you feel that you have a good work/home life balance?

There is a pretty flexible mentality here. I can honestly say that I don’t have any issues with managing my work/home life balance. I have been supplied with the kit I need to work remotely if needed, which is a great benefit and very different to other organisations I have worked in.

What one piece of advice would you give to a candidate interested in working here?
