Virgin Media Business is the B2B arm of our exciting brand. So, the ‘Business’ bit, as you can probably guess, refers to the fact that our 3,500+ people provide digital services to all types of businesses from SMEs to vast public sector organisations.
Join us, on one of our 12-month Business Internships, and you’ll gain invaluable insight into a key area of our operations while developing transferrable skills that you can call on throughout your future career.
What’s it all about?
Based in a key area such as Marketing, Commercial, Product or Customer Operations, you’ll be responsible for solving problems for our customers and finding ways to accelerate their business development. Not only will you learn what makes us Virgin Media, but you’ll also gain an end-to-end understanding of our customer experience – and how we make sure every business receives the solutions and professional services they need to drive growth.
By the end of your internship, you’ll be raring to go for your final year at university, having gained hands-on experience of life in a private sector organisation and developed a whole host of business-critical skills. Like negotiation, market insight, competitor analysis and presentation skills… to name only a few. And the fact that we offer nearly all our interns a fast-track route onto our grad scheme means you’ll be making an excellent head start in your career as well.
How are you going to get there?
We’re looking for interns with a predicted 2:1 degree or above. Ideally, it will be a Business or Marketing degree, but we’re happy to hear from people in any discipline. If you also have six months or longer work experience in a relevant role, even better – although, again, it’s not essential.
Other than that, it’s all about having a great business mind, real commercial acumen, resilience in the face of setbacks and the confidence to challenge the status quo. We operate in an energetically paced digital marketplace, so you’ll also need to be pro-active enough to move with the times and change direction when necessary.
