Duration: 3 years
Salary: £29K + £2K welcome bonus + amazing benefits
Locations: Hook (with some travel)
Requirements: 2.1 or above in any discipline (achieved or expecting). An HR based degree is preferred, but not essential.
From attracting, training and paying our people, to developing our high-level managers so they’ve got the skills and knowledge they need - you'll learn about it all in our People team. What’s more, we support our top people so they can be brilliant leaders – and make sure there are people ready to step into their shoes when needed. We even get to do fun stuff, such as dreaming up ways to make people’s work more enjoyable. Zest for life? Then you’ll fit right in here. With plenty of real-life experience up for grabs, our People scheme will put you right at the heart of a busy, multi-faceted organisation.
The scheme is based in Hook and you’ll work in a number of areas within the business, filling your brain with the ins and outs of the People function. Working across talent, reward or even in a business partner role, you could be in one of our Centres of Excellence where you’ll grow your skills on different projects. At 6 months in and for the remainder of the scheme, you’ll predominantly work as a People Business Partner over a number of departments and divisions to give you a real all-round experience.
Whilst not essential, an HR based degree, or one that covers an element of HR is preferred. We’d also like you to have bags of drive, tenacity and creativity. We don’t mind if you’re a little bit cheeky either. And you definitely won’t be afraid to step up with your opinions and shiny new ideas.
The good things that’ll happen
As well as managing stakeholder relationships, you’ll learn how to manage your workload. You’ll be gathering all the skills you need for a future business partner role with us – maybe even working your way up to People Director. On top of all that, we’ll fund your study towards a CIPD qualification. Not bad, eh?
Applications for our 2017 People Graduate Scheme are now closed!
