Being an avid football player and fan, I was delighted to be offered the opportunity to play on one of the best pitches in the Premier League at St Mary’s stadium. The opportunity came as a result of the Virgin Media’s sponsorship deal with Southampton FC which entitled us to a game at the ground. Around 30 players from across Virgin Media turned up to play on the warm summer evening on Sunday 28th May 2017. On arrival at the stadium, we filtered into the plush home and away changing rooms...

We caught up with Lee, our post programme finance grad, to see how he was finding life as Programme Manager working in Liberty Global’s Latin American & Caribbean Group (LiLAC) and adapting to life over in Denver, Colorado! “I’m currently writing to you from Kingston, Jamaica - sat in a Flow office cramming some work in before my flight back to Denver. At the end of the internship I was invited to join the Finance Graduate Scheme after I’d completed my studies at the University of Bath. I chose to join Virgin Media’s Finance Graduate scheme because I felt...

As part of the graduate scheme, there’s a significant emphasis on training and development, something that was particularly important to me when applying for graduate jobs. In addition to my graduate in-take on-...

Going International - From VMB to LG

My journey since completing my grad scheme with Virgin Media Business has been an exciting one. I’ve swapped tubes for trams, skyscrapers for windmills and high streets for canals, as I’ve been lucky enough to get a placement working for Liberty Global, Virgin Media’s parent company based in Amsterdam. Adapting to life in a new country has actually been a lot easier than I thought. It probably helps that pretty much everyone in Amsterdam speaks better English than the English do, but so far...
