About the role

As the Technical Lead you will be an integral part of the Digital Intelligence and Experience Team unlocking the value of technology by delivering innovative products, services and unparalleled experiences that enable Virgin Media’s corporate strategy.

You will play a meaningful role in redefining our Digital Experience Platform, developing the new and replacing old platforms/systems with enabling services driven by outcomes and commercial results with improved customer satisfaction.

You will partner with vendors and internal partners throughout the software development lifecycle to ensure delivery of effective services and other technical solutions.

You will be responsible for co-ordinating and leading on a portfolio of technical workstreams and their associated results. Finding elegant solutions to business and customer challenges and will be accountable for cost, quality and delivery velocity and delivering the outcome

The must haves:

  • Outcome and delivery focused, you’ll have a passion for technology, product development and fast paced outcome delivery
  • Have proven success in the delivery of large complex technical transformation projects
  • Be experienced in Lean Agile; using Agile to deliver the outcome rather than ‘delivering agile’
  • Deep understanding of Agile and DevOps and ability to build strong teams around these delivery models.
  • Expertise in disparate technologies such as cloud computing, native device development, service oriented architecture, user interface development, or machine learning.

  • Be a strong communicator, you’ll have the ability to influence, persuade and have personal impact
  • Be able to judge and handle priorities effectively and work to tight timescales
