About the role

You'll provide technical support and guidance to our Sales, Specialist and Engineering teams to understand customer requirements and to produce fit for purpose solutions that are fully costed and meet the customer requirements.

Become pivotal in the customer journey from traditional voice to all-IP services as part of the 21CV (21st Century Voice) project driven by the UK traditional voice switch off.

Also participate in business as usual non-21CV related designs and customer transformations, e.g. non-legacy voice changes.

You'll effectively engage with the customer and Sales functions supporting the qualification, design and successful sale of VMB products and services to applicable customers across Enterprise and Public Sector. You will be responsible for the technical ownership of the end-to-end solution, engaging and handling partners as required to deliver industry best, transformational solution designs.

The must haves:

In depth demonstrable experience as a customer technical authority for Voice/UC/Collaboration technologies!
In-depth knowledge of the Voice/UC/Collaboration marketplace and competitors.
Validated successes working in a similar role
Proven examples where you have had to use your technical knowledge to gain consensus from partners.

Other stuff we're looking for:

Understand VMB, the core strategy, sector strategies, sales plans, specific account development plans, current products and product roadmap, and have strong market awareness.
Present to customers on the technical and strategic business benefits of proposed solutions at all levels within their organisation.
Ensure customer expectations are handled so that the technical solution when delivered meets their expectations. For example, performance of solution against customer needs, collaborating closely and ensuring the order is complete before submission and additional technical information derived, when required, through the delivery process.
