About the role

We’re looking for a Senior Marketing Performance & Analytics Manager who will report into the Head of Marketing Performance & Econometrics. As part of the Planning, Insight and Effectiveness team within Brand & Marketing, you’ll be responsible for our internal marketing effectiveness reporting, measurement and KPI forecasting, linking in with a range of departments across the business to ensure our measurement framework is best-in-class and fits the needs of all our stakeholders.

You’ll work across all our Virgin Media O2 consumer brands (Virgin Media O2, O2, Virgin Media and Virgin Mobile) identify the KPIs that underpin our brand and commercial goals, provide forecasts in line with the broader commercial targets and build/develop dashboards and regular reporting to help us understand and optimise the effectiveness of our marketing activity.

So that's what you'll get up to, but what about us?

Well, we're super proud of our history, helping communities to stay connected with oodles of top-notch products and services. We offer the full works – broadband, TV, mobile and landline – equipping our customers out with the very latest tech.

But it's not just what we do, but why we do it that really matters.

Our mission is to become the most recommended brand, by our people and our customers. A massive part of that journey is about how we ensure that our brilliant people have a working environment in which they can truly belong and thrive. For us, it's critical that every single person can bring, and be, their whole selves at work, and we're working hard every day to achieve this.

Tell me more, tell me more…

Based in Hammersmith with flexibility to work from home/our agency offices across London,  you’ll work alongside our econometrics, structured testing, attribution and research measurement streams to ensure the full impact of our marketing is being understood around the business. Ultimately, you’ll be responsible for drawing together these workstreams to help us understand the effectiveness of our brand & marketing activities across the whole marketing funnel; from awareness to conversion.

You understand the role of brand, trading, creative and media on driving short- and long-term business value and can set targets and forecasts around key drivers of performance. You are skilled at presenting and interpreting data to provide clear insights and a concise narrative around performance and have the commercial mindset to drive optimisation and continuous improvement.

The must haves:

  • Strong background in marketing with an understanding of the role of brand, trading, creative and media on driving business value
  • Experience developing and extracting insights from dashboards (Looker preferable but not essential)
  • Experience of planning and forecasting with knowledge of different tools and techniques available
  • Self-motivated, results orientated with strong attention to detail, excellent numeracy and analytical skills including advanced Excel
  • A keen eye for detail, able to present and communicate insight clearly and concisely
  • Pro-active and able to work across multiple functions and departments

Other stuff we're looking for:

  • Experience of working closely with Performance Marketing teams would be helpful
  • Experience with SQL, R / Python is preferred, but not necessary
  • Google Analytics and Adobe Analytics experience a plus

What's in it for you?

We know that benefits mean so much more than the 'stuff' we can give you, so we offer a wide range of support, rewards and tools - all focused on helping you to prioritise what really matters.

All work and no play just isn't our style! We're already planning our future ways of working, for when life becomes a little more normal again. We're constantly evolving our approach to enable you to find a great work life balance.

We're also open to chatting about part time or adjusted working (so don't be worried to ask the question.

Next Steps

If you think you've got some amazing skills to offer us, and Virgin Media feels like a place where you can belong, we'd love to learn more about you. Once you've submitted an application the next steps of the process, if successful, are likely to include a two stage interview.

When you apply, you'll be asked about any adjustments you might need to support the recruitment process. Let us know, and we'll be sure to discuss it with you.

Thanks for your patience in the meantime and for showing an interest in joining the Virgin Media family.
