About the role

We’re looking for a Senior Marketing Effectiveness Manager who will report into the Head of Performance & Econometrics. As part of the Planning, Insight and Effectiveness team within Brand & Marketing, you’ll be responsible for the delivery of the Virgin Media O2 econometrics models to forecast, measure and optimise the full business impact of our ATL and BTL marketing activities, with a focus on pricing & promotional impacts and synergies.

Based in Hammersmith, you’ll be responsible for budget planning, forecasting and media-mix optimisation across the full portfolio of Virgin Media O2 brands (Virgin Media O2, O2, Virgin Media and Virgin Mobile), working with commercial and marketing planning teams to ensure we have the most effective and efficient marketing plans possible as we bring together the two sides of the business during this exciting time. You will also be accountable our marketing measurement framework, ensuring it is best-in-class and fits the needs of all our stakeholders, with a focus on driving continuous improvement through test & learn.

The must haves:

  • Experience building econometric models is key (agency, client or consultancy), as well as an aptitude to learn new skills and techniques quickly in a fast-paced environment
  • Understanding of structured test design and analysis
  • Experience of planning and forecasting with knowledge of different tools and techniques available
  • Self-motivated, pro-active and able to work across multiple functions and departments
  • Results orientated with excellent numeracy, analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Strong Presentation skills and communication of insight to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Demonstrable advanced Excel skills

Other stuff we're looking for:

  • Experience in marketing (operational / agency) analytical team
  • Experience with SQL, R / Python is preferred, but not necessary
  • Google Analytics and Adobe Analytics experience a plus
