The team helps to drive the work of the wider digital function by providing insights into the needs, values, attitudes, perceptions and behaviours of our customers through data analysis and statistical modelling. You will help bring to life the experience and service quality we deliver to our customers.

Principle responsibilities 

  • You’ll be getting involved in lots of projects, primarily focussing on how we can improve our customers’ online experience 

  • Deliver outputs that allow colleagues across the digital team team to develop solutions to address excess customer effort

  • Apply comprehensive knowledge and understanding of concepts, techniques and procedures of a variety of analytics techniques to produce insightSupport the use of models and other information in a variety of frameworks to drive the insight to ensure these areas are optimised for the business

  • You’ll help in driving improvements in the analytical best practice

  • Taking the lead on projects, co-ordinating and combining insight from multiple functions to provide clear analytical solutions

  • Working with the wider team, you’ll help translate technical, data-centric information in to user-friendly, easy to digest information

Skills and competencies required

  • Advanced analytical skills

  • Use of SQL, SAS, R, Python and/or other software and tools in performing analysis

  • Excellent understanding of the application of analytical techniques such as linear and logistic regression, among others

  • Numerate, data-focussed degree

  • Excellent technical and innovation skills with good business/marketing understanding to exploit them

  • You’ll be a strong communicator, with a great ability to develop strong relationships with colleagues and other departments

  • Intimately familiar with a broad range of analytical approaches, and research techniques and tools to generate data-derived insight

Required critical behaviours

  • Able to manage situations of complexity with positive outcomes

  • Builds and develops the business and functional skills of more junior team members

  • Familiarity with emerging technologies  and its impact on analytics and user behaviour

  • Ability to clearly communicate actionable insights and complex findings

  • Proven experience of working across multiple disciplines with competing priorities
