About the role
As a Security Compliance Officer, you will carry out activities that maintain and improve the Virgin Media Information Security Management System. You will be required to provide support and guidance to the business, drive improvement opportunities, as well as assisting the business in achieving compliance against the Virgin Media Security Policies, Standards and Controls, plus relevant external standards including ISO 27001.

You will be expected to support the delivery of wider additional standards required by the business including, but not limited to, the Telecoms Security Regulations, PSN, and HSCN.
The role will be expected to act as a subject matter expert on these standards; they will work with control owners across the organisation, across levels of management up to senior leadership team members, and external auditors and assessors.
The must haves
- Knowledge or experience of the PSN, HSCN, and Cyber Essentials Frameworks and associated assessments
- Management of Penetration Testing, IT Health Checks, and other Security Testing
- Demonstratable experience in an information security role in a large commercial organisation.
- Proven experience of implementation of an ISMS in line with ISO 27001
- Be able to hold security clearance, minimum of BPSS up to and inclusive of NPPV L3 and SC.
Other stuff we’re looking for
- Educated to degree level or holding a professional qualification (e.g. CISSP, CISM, ISO 27001 Auditor / Implementer)
