The Data Estate team is on a mission to enhance the value of our data and to transform the culture at Virgin Media O2 towards data as a strategic asset.  Our teams are building state of the art data governance and privacy capabilities, optimising consents and opt-ins and exploiting data monetization opportunities anchored in a relationship with our customers of trust, transparency and control.

The Role:

We are taking a product led approach to privacy anchored in customer trust and we are looking for a Privacy Analyst to join our growing team.

As a Privacy Analyst, you’ll play a vital role in supporting the team to drive privacy by design, including:

  • Driving engagement and adoption of our privacy platform, OneTrust
  • Providing advice and guidance to the wider Change (encompassing Digital) teams
  • Engaging with Privacy Product Owners and relevant business teams to understand their requirements and support identification and delivery of customer centric solutions
  • Building and nurturing excellent working relationships with our Data Protection Office and teams across VMO2
  • Working closely with Digital Architecture, Digital Security and Data Engineers to operationalise our privacy platform
  • Staying up to date with emerging regulatory and technological developments to ensure our capabilities remain state of the art


What we are looking for from you:

  • Experience in working with the OneTrust privacy platform. Ideally, with the assessment automation and data mapping modules
  • Good understanding of GDPR, Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulation and other Privacy laws and the ability to apply such understanding in a commercially astute way (Ideally CIPP/E, CIPM, or BCS Data Protection Practitioner qualified)
  • Experience of advising business and technology teams on privacy and data compliance requirements in a data-centric, digital native or large organisation undergoing digital transformation
  • Working understanding of Privacy by Design and how to implement this concept across the business
  • Experience in supporting Privacy programme design and implementation
