About the role
Salary: £65,000 - 75,000
Base location: UK wide, with occasional travel to Reading
Virgin Media, the UK’s fastest broadband network, has recently joined forces with O2, the UK’s No.1 mobile platform, to create a strong, competitive and dynamic national connectivity champion.
Virgin Media O2 has embarked on a major, once in a generation network infrastructure investment and this role will be responsible for leading multiple end to end large scale portfolio plans across the lifecycle of the Fibre Upgrade Programme.
The role of the Lead Programme Planner is to lead the central planning function and team , which is responsible for creating, integrating maintaining, tracking and reporting on the multiple Fibre Upgrade Programme plans and dependencies. You'll also establish accurate, current, and reliable programme portfolio planning & reporting methodology across the delivery lifecycle and its delivery partners for the entire programme portfolio. Another key part of this role is to standardise, simplify and share planning tools, methods, process, inputs and outputs across the programme
The must haves
In order to be considered, you must have the following experience;
A number of years’ experience working as lead programme planner on multi-million pound, multi-stakeholder programme
Experience in developing programme planning and reporting strategies and plans for large scale delivery programmes
Experience of leading a team of planners
