About the role

Start dates from 26th April 2021

You’ll be the first point of contact for our fantastic customers, taking around 25 calls a day. You’ll be building connections with existing customers who are looking to upgrade or change their Virgin Mobile service with us. You’ll also take calls from potential new customers who’ll be looking to you for your expert advice on our fantastic products to help them decide which is the best match for them.

We’re on an exciting journey to continue building our team of Inbound Telesales Advisors to work out of our contact center in Sheffield. You won’t need any previous technical knowledge to shine in this role as our six-week induction will teach you everything you need to know. We’ll give you a script to follow to ensure you comply with our FSA regulations when speaking to customers, but it’ll be your great listening skills and your natural flair for making great conversation that will seal the deal when it comes to making a sale. We want you to join us as soon as possible and help us keep our customers and the country connected.

Our services are more vital than ever before and as a result, our frontline agents have been classed as key workers and our centres remain open. However, our ambition is to provide the ability for as many employees as possible to work from home after the initial 6-week training period, to create flexibility to react to the changing situation. Our long-term vision is that once things get back to (the new) normal, you’ll split your shifts between working from home and working in the office.

This is a full-time role, and you’ll work 37.5 hours per week on a rotational shift pattern within our working hours of:

Monday – Friday 8am to 9pm
Saturday – 9am – 6pm
Sunday – 9am – 5pm

A fantastic induction will welcome you to Virgin Media. We’ll give you full, in-office training on our products, services and ways of working, and that’s just the beginning. As part of our team, you’ll get lots of ongoing training and support.

The must haves
•Once the government guidelines change, you’ll spend some of your working week working out of our Sheffield office, so you must live within a commutable distance

Other stuff we’re looking for
• You’ll be confident handling all types of calls and thrive on influencing customers to buy our products
• Have previous experience of working in a target-driven environment
• Be comfortable speaking with existing and potential customers over the phone
• Sales experience would always help, but lots of our best people joined without any
