About the role
Salary: £24k basic + 2.5k OTE + company vehicle
Hours: 37.5hrs per week (3x10hr shifts and 1x7.5hr shift, including weekends)
Start Date: From January 2021

You’ll be the person that installs our amazing products and services into people’s homes, small businesses, and home offices. Setting up Broadband, TV and phone, you’ll make sure the customer can get the very best out of our products and services. Don’t worry, you don’t need any previous technical experience to apply, as we’ll give you all the training you need to succeed.
As a Virgin Media Technician, you’ll be a brand ambassador by delivering a simply brilliant first impression to our customers. Preparation and presentation are key to delivering a perfect visit that meets and exceeds our customer’s expectations. We’ll provide you with the necessary PPE and social distancing measures according to the current government guidelines, to help keep you and our customers safe.
You’ll use your skills to install, maintain and repair our products both in Residential & Business premises. You’ll also share advice and tips with customer on how to get the very best out of those products. You’ll always be looking for opportunities to improve the customer’s package, making sure they know all about our latest technology and deals. You’ll also be able to grow the business through customer advocacy by promoting our customer, friends & family referral scheme.
When you join, you’ll be given comprehensive training in the role, and as well as on-going support - you can trust us to do the right thing by you. No two days are the same, which means you’ll always be learning and finding new challenges to get stuck in to.

You don’t need any technical experience beyond an interest in Telecoms, IT, or electrics. Our training programme will get you up to speed. To succeed in this role, you’ll have a logical approach to solving problems and get a buzz out of helping people. You’ll also need:
- A full, valid UK manual driving license
- To be able to build memorable relationships
- Adaptability for new daily challenges
- To be comfortable working at heights and outside in all weathers

Things to consider before you apply
This role will require you to travel within an hour’s radius of the advertised location.
If you are successful in your application, you may be required to stay away from home during parts of the induction training. The induction dates and timings will be explained during the Assessment Centre stage of the application process - we are unable to authorise any annual leave during the induction.
