This is a 12-month FTC

About the role

The Deputy Data Protection Officer will be working with senior leaders across VMO2, helping them to use personal data to achieve their business objectives by providing pragmatic, contextual advice and by developing a privacy first culture!

This will involve supporting the DPO with

  • Developing the team, and supporting on delivering an effective data protection and privacy compliance framework, delegating management of workstreams when required.

  • Providing expert advice on personal data breaches and complex data subject requests

  • Ensuring all statutory data protection obligations are met.

The must haves

In order to be considered, you must have the following experience;

  • Practical experience of applying relevant data protection and privacy legislation and ICO codes of is essential. (Data Protection Act 2018, UK GDPR and Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulation 2003 (PECR))

  • Experience of managing and developing a team

  • Demonstrable experience of senior stakeholder management is crucial

The other stuff we're looking for

We'd also love you to bring;

  • IAPP CIPP/E, CIPM or CIPT or equivalent certification is desirable

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
