About the role
Commercial Manager - Commercial Design and Evolution
You'll play a vital role in the design and evolution of our Commercial Portfolio (the way we package, and what we sell). Our team’s vision is to continuously improve this portfolio, so we can meet the needs of our customers - now and in the future. We create the commercial constructs that determine how we trade with our customers and then work cross-functionally with Product and Change teams to maximise our combined knowledge to best effect.

Our commercial function acts as the architect of our revenue growth in the consumer division through proposition development and design, base management, acquisition/in-life trading, pricing and forecasting. The team works cross-functionally to lead process design, creating our portfolio of profit-maximising products and packages. This leads to growth in operating cash flow, increases our net promoter score and optimises return on investment.
The must haves:
Demonstrable analytical skills, and an understanding of financial performance
Experience working in a commercial function, or as part of an analytics function which focuses on trading performance
Experience in partnering with the product teams and the wider Commercial teams to help build a future roadmap of propositions.
Other stuff we're looking for:
Proactivity, positivity and ambition. You should have a strong team play mentality – if we win as a team, we win as individuals too.
Comfortable in the face of ambiguity and continuous change.
The ability to identify gaps in the product roadmap, that could result in future commercial risk.
Experience in performing commercial viability assessments.
