About the role

Virgin Media is currently on the lookout for an Area Facilities Manager to cover the South West region. This role is part of the Property and Facilities division across Virgin Media O2!

Base Location: Anywhere in the South West, we have offices in Plymouth, Bristol, Exeter.

What’s the purpose of this role?

The purpose of this role is to take Ownership of facilities management services to a number of sites including corporate offices and technical locations. You'll be owning the local level team member relationships, in order to provide an experience that reinforces our values, and delivers a workplace platform to improve business performance. Ensuring a smooth business operation in line with the defined workplace standards.

You'll be working with the site based Facilities Managers, Environment Managers and supplies partners, to ensure the sites are maintained to the highest standard, crafting a consistent and appropriate service experiences aligned to changing business needs.

The successful candidate in this role would be accountable for the operational delivery of FM services and supporting the overall experience delivery for visitors, contractors and employees to feel part of the Virgin Family.

As a Mobile Facilities Manager you would be responsible for a number of key activities including a few of the following; You'll own the operational space within our corporate offices and technical locations to ensure the experience offered is relevant, effortless and Virgin for all audiences that interact with the workplace.

It'll be your job to identify and build a balanced and sustainable work environment that engages our employees, and enables them to thrive! You'll be responsible for driving consistency, improving our customer experience & service delivery through implementation of continuous improvement and standard methodology principles, as well as working with the Communications team to ensure our people are kept informed of plans and progress to their work environment.

You'll take the lead on employee experience reviews with collaborators and suppliers to drive a consistent and improved employee experience and service delivery, bringing in standard process. Maintaining, managing and generating value from stakeholder relationships across the portfolio of responsibility.

The must haves

In order to be considered, you must have the following experience;

  • Solid understanding and experience of hard and soft service delivery in line with the portfolio of responsibility
  • Proven experience in Facilities management
  • Experienced in customer management with a focus on customer experience
  • This role requires you to have a full UK driving licence as you'll be travelling across the region
  • Understanding and knowledge of facilities compliance and legislation

  • IOSH certification
  • IWFM Qualification or equivalent facilities management qualification
  • Innovative thinking aligned to improving the customer experience and/or effectiveness of service delivery and not settling for ‘good enough’
