We’re a fun-loving bunch at Virgin Media. But we always know when to take things seriously. From lowering our environmental impact to increasing opportunities for disabled people, we want to grow our business in a way that’s good for people, communities and the environment.

We’re sustainability savvy

Our sustainability team might be small, but our strategy’s made a huge impression– and we have even bigger plans. Our ‘5 in 5’ goals make sure that as we grow, we’re going beyond compliance and doing it in a way that’s good for our customers, our people and the environment. Above and beyond this, we want to use our business, brand and people to create positive change for our customers and the communities we’re part of.

Each of our sustainability strategy goals is sponsored by a member of the Executive Committee and our business functions are accountable for making it happen day-to-day, with advice and support from the Sustainability team.
We’re coming to the end of our current five-year ‘5 in 5’ plan and we’re proud of what we’ve achieved. In recent years, we’ve reduced our carbon footprint by 22%, purchased 100% of our contracted electricity from renewable sources, and supported over 120,000 disabled people with employment information and skills.
