In digital we are essentially responsible for all the platforms that a customer will engage with, so from the websites to apps.
We have 5 different groups within the digital team, we tend to look for people that are from marketing backgrounds, through to people that can work in our creative studio, so the likes of producers, designers and copywriters, through to our developers who can architect our capabilities, our platforms and really work with the technology teams. And then we have a digital analytics team which all about really understanding what it’s all about, what’s working and what’s not, and learning.
I think the most exciting thing about digital is that it is brand new, we are building something from scratch and whoever comes in is going to be part of that new world. They are going to be part of doing things differently, part of really trying to be even more successful within the business that we are. And I think we’ve got a great opportunity.
The best fit for my team are people that are willing to really roll up their sleeves, get the job done, are not afraid of what’s come before, are not afraid to challenge, and really want to make a difference.
We are doing something totally different to what has come before us, we have a chance to really compete at a different level and to really change how we do things as a business.
