"I joined Virgin Mobile straight from Sixth Form College, when I was 18. They were one of the biggest employers in the area and had a great reputation for looking after their staff and being a fun place to work. I started off in the customer centre, which I really enjoyed, because they're a great bunch of people.

After 3 years I wanted to climb up the career ladder so with lots of support and encouragement, I came here. I love this job even more than my last. The variety is what really makes it. I enjoy meeting people and answering their questions, and it's so rewarding to work face-to-face.

Pride is something that's really rare in general shop work, but at VM we have it in bundles. I know it sounds really corny, but I really love my job. The perks are great too, there's a generous bonus scheme, possibly some share options and I even went to Richard Branson's house for his summer staff party."
