All systems go!
At Virgin Media, engineering isn’t just about giving our customers a great service every day. It’s also about being easy to deal with. And with lots of different engineering teams to join, there’s plenty for you to get involved in.
Our Field Engineers are the ones who get out into people’s homes to install and repair our TiVo boxes and broadband. So you’ll need to know your stuff, solve problems quickly and be good with people.
Field Technicians use their technical knowledge to specialise in either service or installations - learning how to repair and install basic network elements too. You’ll be out in the real world, driving one of our vans, so a full driving licence (and no more than six points) will definitely be an essential.
In we make sure around £2 billion worth of networks can cope with the demand from more and more customers and services. So our teams tackle a huge range of work, from fixing bugs to running major projects and making sure the network can handle ever faster broadband speeds so all our customers get the benefit.
Who we look for
We always look for good engineers who will fit into our team. That means being friendly, open and energetic, as well as having good technical skills. The amount of experience you have doesn’t matter – it’s your enthusiasm and ability to learn in a constantly changing business that’s important.
