Based in a new, central site at Hook, our Business Intelligence team is responsible for shaping and delivering this information so we can get the best out of it. It's their job to improve data quality, relevance and accessibility. They also work closely with other parts of the business to add value. For example, our real-time intelligence solution has transformed our frontline operations and delivered massive financial benefits. And wherever you join the team, you'll be working in a fast-paced but friendly environment, with people who are passionate about their work.

What kind of skills will you need?

We're looking for Business Intelligence specialists whose passion for excellence is matched by a track record of outstanding delivery gained in a large organisation. Confident communicators who want to succeed and progress quickly. People who are genuinely excited by state of the art technologies and keen to learn more about them. Enthusiastic team players who take a real pride in their work.

You'll also need to be highly numerate and, ideally, hold a good degree or Masters in a relevant discipline.

Data Warehousing Team

Developing a vast new Enterprise Data Warehouse is at the top of this busy team's agenda. The new warehouse will bring together every possible bit of data we need on our customers on a daily basis, from their names and addresses to the way they interact with us.

Solution Development Team

This team develops sophisticated tools which enable the business to maximise the information it holds. For example, we use real-time decision tools to improve the way frontline staff interact with customers. Or powerful MI solutions to help managers understand performance drivers. One big challenge on the horizon will be a new KPU reporting environment to replace performance reporting across the whole organisation.

Operational Delivery Team

Here you'll be carrying out the daily and weekly activities that ensure information flows smoothly and BI customer service processes work effectively. High on the agenda will be developing a brand new customer service operation to ensure BI clients enjoy the outstanding support they deserve.

Analytical Team

This team is made up of three different communities. Analysts analyse BI information to help the business understand performance drivers. Business Analysts define the requirements for new solutions. Lastly, Data Analysts help define how to source the data needed and transform it into a shape that can be exploited. Together, they're developing a suite of innovative profiling tools that will help us understand our customers and performance drivers in minute detail.
