Senior UX Designer


Location: Hook


We are looking for a Senior User-Experience Designer responsible for conducting competitor, stakeholder and user research and translating them into sitemaps, wireframes and prototypes. You will also design the overall digital functionality/experience for new telecommunications products and iterate upon it to ensure a great user experience.

Our Senior UX Designers help develop the customer journeys and the UX side of the digital strategy within Virgin Media Business. Which mean you not only work with a great brand but with some amazing new technologies!
*Translate concepts into wireframes and mockups that lead to intuitive user experiences.
*Facilitate stakeholders’ product visions by researching, conceiving, wireframing, sketching, prototyping, and mocking up user experiences for digital products.
*Design and deliver wireframes, user stories, user journeys, and mockups/prototypes optimized for a wide range of devices and interfaces.
*Identify design problems and devise elegant solutions.
*Make strategic design and user-experience decisions related to core, and new, products, functions and features.
*Take a user-centered design approach and rapidly test and iterate your designs.
*Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders.
*Understand commonalities across multiple product/project requirements and propose solutions that maximise efficiencies.
*Take smart risks and champion new ideas.

So what are we looking for?
*Demonstrable UX design experience with experience designing complex solutions with multi-channel journeys.
*B2B experience preferred but not essential.
*Expertise in UX wireframing and prototyping software such as Sketch, Axure, Omnigraffle, InVision or similar is a must. Basic HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript skills are desirable.
*Ability to work with clients to understand detailed requirements and design elegant user experiences that meet client needs and vision.
*Extensive experience in using UX design best practices to design solutions, and a deep understanding of mobile-first and responsive design.
*Proactive, independent, self-starter, with good interpersonal skills.
*A solid grasp of user-centred design and testing methodologies, subsystems, and usability and accessibility concerns.
*Ability to iterate your designs and solutions efficiently and intelligently.
*Ability to clearly and effectively communicate design processes, ideas, and solutions to teams and clients.
*A clear understanding of the importance of user-centred design.
*Be willing to help teammates, share knowledge and experience with them, and learn from them.
*Be open to receiving feedback and constructive criticism.
*Be passionate about all things UX and other areas of design and innovation. Research and showcase knowledge in the industry’s latest trends and technologies.
*Experience of designing authenticated experiences would be beneficial as large elements of this role relate to a logged in experience
