What is the job?

This role is to be the link to ensure that when the build teams have completed the dig in the streets and are ready to connect to the existing network, everything is lined up to get the homes live and ready to sell straight away.

With the help of your scheme mentor and other colleagues, we will be turning you in to a Project Management Pioneer! You will be shown the ropes on how to manage the delivery dependencies between all the teams involved in our next generation voice products, broadband capacity delivery teams and our supply chain teams at a working level. You will become the ‘person in the know’ ensuring that the Command Centre always has the latest view on forecasting, risk management and delivery dates.

As well as being a trusted, subject matter expert - you will be taught how to project manage and mitigate any site and delivery issues. .

This is an exciting opportunity for you to play a key role at the forefront of Virgin Media’s lightning force. With support, you will be the central delivery manager within the expansion programme.

Passion and determination is important - you’ll need to work hard and see the course through. You will need to have the ability to work on your own initiative and also work as team member. Not forgetting that attention to detail is vital!

Qualification and experience wise, we’d like you to have the following:


Achieved a grade C or above in at least 5 GCSEs including English and Mathematics, and hold a minimum of 48 UCAS points, or equivalent

* Strong influencing, communication and organisational skills
* Excellent people skills (engaging, listening and understanding people’s needs)
