Now is a great time to join Virgin Media as a Head of Propositional Development where you lead the creation of Virgin Media’s bundle and proposition strategy, focused on maximising revenue and OCF growth. Taking internal and external inputs, this role will be responsible for building an irresistible Consumer proposition, for customers and prospects alike

Principal Responsibilities

Manage the Proposition development team, creating a positive working environment and demonstrating strong management and interpersonal skills to maximise the team’s impact

*

Work closely with the Long Term Strategy team to build a future roadmap of cable propositions and deliver major repackaging or re-pricing activities. Optimise approach to create maximum aggregate value across existing customers and prospects. Scope includes all existing cable services (TV, broadband, fixed telephony), and new segments (e.g. FMC)

Develop clear customer strategy to allow trading & propositional execution teams to appropriately target existing customer base

Source, interpret & deliver insight on market and consumer trends to assist in driving the development of proposition and pricing changes

Lead financial modelling and development of business cases to support proposed proposition and service changes.

Build and maintain strong working relationships across divisions, at all levels up to MD/COO

Persuade and influence Executive Director stakeholders across Consumer, Customer and Finance divisions to gain support and buy-in for all proposition strategies

Required Competencies and Behaviours

Highly competent in presenting pricing plans and proposals through visual, verbal and written means, able to convey complex finance information in a format easily understood at Executive level.

Experience within pricing/proposition development supported by proven background in analytical roles
*

Results focused - track record of delivering large scale projects that influence revenue of £100m+ per annum
*

Demonstrable leadership qualities that reflect Virgin Media’s culture and promotes bravery, simplified solutions, optimism, zest, risk taking and connection across team, department and business

Proven ability to manage a range of relationships at all levels of the business, from Manager to CXO
*

Can influence stakeholders at all levels, both internal and external. Ability to negotiate with stakeholders to ensure the best possible outcome for the Business

Quickly deduce where change is needed and make decisive interventions to deliver results. Can cut through "noise" to ensure change is landed effectively.

Very strong people leadership skills and track record of strong employee engagement, ruthlessly pursing the right talent. Decisively manages performance and coaches for success.

Able to create and maintain strong relationships, being empathetic, approachable, and fair in dealings with colleagues at all levels - demonstrates a strong team mentality and able to build and maintain open and honest communication at all levels

Strong commercial acumen and a proficient knowledge base of financial performance KPI’s i.e. NPV etc. Strong analytical skills, able to identify trends & market opportunities/challenges and drive business decisions against through this insight.
