Technical Design Lead

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Technical Design Lead to join our WiFi team in Hemel Hempstead! In this role you’ll create brilliant technical designs for our developers and deployment teams, collaborating closely with our architecture and product teams to understand and shape requirements.
You’ll lead developers in following best practice, developing software as required and ensuring we are designing secure maintainable solutions.

We’re looking for someone who has a wide breadth of technical knowledge, covering both software design and network infrastructure. You’ll have plenty of hands-on experience, but specialize in creating clear designs for secure, maintainable, scalable and extendable systems. You’ll also enjoy working in a highly collaborative environment, often with tight deadlines

Essential experience for this role will be:

*Thorough knowledge of web infrastructure, TCP/IP, VPN / GRE, DNS etc
*Thorough knowledge of web servers and load balancers
*Great understanding of security best practise
*A degree in Computer science, electronics engineering, computer systems engineering or similar, or relevant experience.

*PHP, Node.js,
*Java (Android in particular), Swift
*React, Angular
*Percona, MongoDB, database clustering methods
*Understanding of PCI DSS
*Apache / Nginx / F5 / HAProxy
*Linux admin skills
*IAM technologies
*Experience with Radius
*Google Cloud Platform
*Terraform, Jenkins
