Business Intelligence Analyst


Location: Hook


Join our Virgin Media Business team as our BI Analyst and you will help build and deliver end to end capability such that the business can self-serve a broad and diverse set of data. You’ll be responsible for developing, delivering and communicating a broad range of analytical and reporting solutions to the business.

Your responsibilities will be wide ranging, but principally you will be accountable for:

* Development of a fit for purpose cross-functional BI toolkit
* Development of datasets to meet current and new business requirements
* Drive adoption across our support and operational teams
* Support in the development of new analytical tools
* Help transform the data intelligence environment for Virgin Media Business through development of various analytical products
* Optimise the production of regular reports
* Work with 3rd party and our technology teams to deliver a robust and holistic BI data platform
* Hold sufficient understanding of the end to end business to evaluate the integrity of BI across the business

What are we looking for?

* Good knowledge of Business Intelligence tools, specifically Qlik Sense
* Good knowledge of database platforms, specifically MS SQL Server and Netezza and so strong SQL coding skills
* Ability to build data models that make sense of complicated information
* Experience of automating and scheduling a timely reporting suite
* Ability and willingness to learn new systems and processes
* Proactive approach and someone who is able to work independently towards overall departmental objectives
* Attention to detail and the ability to deliver on time and prioritise
* Team player with proven communication skills, both verbal and written
* Experience of using tools like R and Python an advantage
