Commercial Manager - Mobile Propositions

Working within the wider Mobile Trading team, this role is part of the Propositions team and is responsible for shaping the long term direction and strategy of Virgin Mobile’s propositions and products.

The objective of this role is to work closely with our internal insight community to understand competitor, customer, global and market data and identify growth opportunities that will support our revenue and OCF targets, whilst delivering something new and innovative to the UK market. This is an integral role within the mobile team to ensure all team members are aware of the overarching strategy and working towards a shared vision for Virgin Mobile.
Key Accountabilities
* Work closely with the market insight and research teams to predict areas of consumer and market growth, and shape new propositions
* Be the expert on emerging trends, developments and opportunities that could be relevant to our work at Virgin Mobile; sharing insights where relevant
* Collaborate with Mobile Product Teams to identify technology developments and advances. Identify how these products will fit into the long term strategy
* Own the long term proposition roadmap, backing all items up with research and commercial benefits.
* Lead the dissemination of the long term strategy and roadmap, ensuring buy in across all areas
* Collaborate with Cable Long Term Strategy team to ensure wider product and proposition updates consider the Mobile customer base, revenue and future opportunities. Also identify opportunities to garner further insight or collaborate on future propositions.
* Create high level business cases for any new proposition ideas in conjunction with Finance Teams. Present the benefits of all activity and be prepared to gain senior management approval to deliver long term roadmap.
* Work with technology teams to conduct high level impact assessments and secure provisional ‘slots’ and resource for key roadmap items
* Strong awareness of all commercial targets and a focus to ensure these are met through strategic propositions.
* Awareness of key business challenges across Virgin Media and identification of new opportunities for growth.
* Track category revenue and cash flow to plan to manage and tailor propositions to maximise these targets.
