Role: Finance Operations Planning Accountant 12 Month FTC

This is an exciting time to join Virgin Media as a Finance Operations Planning Accountant. You will support the Director Shared Services Support in producing, monitoring & analysing monthly financial and headcount reporting.

Drive reporting improvements to enable production of key financial performance metrics. These in turn will ensure the global finance and shared services operating model functions in the most effective and efficient way possible to support wider business growth.

Your duties will be wide ranging, but ultimately you will be responsible for:

* Liaising with senior leadership team to produce annual budget (both LG & VM), LRR and quarterly re-forecasts
* Working with LG Group Finance & Control to produce monthly LG roll
* Understand & challenge Month End P&L for Finance Operations
* Reconciling Monthly Accenture Invoices to the Accenture Cost Schedule
* Support the identification of improvement & expansion opportunities in finance operations and assist in production of FTE and cost impact schedules
* Build knowledge of HFM Global Accounting & Reporting headcount & costs to enable accurate tracking of Finance Operations transitions and drive reporting improvements
Everyone in our Finance team has a proactive approach to work, with a keen eye for detail and the ability to deliver to deadlines. If you join us as a Finance Operations Planning Accountant we would want you to have:

* Qualified or training towards professional accounting qualification or equivalent
* Experience in a reporting role, preferably with exposure to financial control
* Experience in a fast moving multinational or multi-entity finance environment
* Fluent in English (both verbally and in writing)
* Proficient in use of Microsoft Excel, Powerpoint and Word
* Solid analytical and accounting skills
* Experience in a demanding accounting environment
* Reconciliation and audit skillset
