This is an exciting time to join Virgin Media as a Forecasting Analyst as you will be responsible in providing the customer and product level churn forecasts, providing insight into trends to enable the business to take actions to mitigate losses and maximising customer net adds.

The Churn Forecasting team has a responsibility in developing the voluntary (controllable) churn forecast ensuring socialisation with key stakeholders ensuring clear and accurate view of performance enabling action to be taken when required.

Role Purpose

This role is to maintain and develop the overall churn forecast and the in depth voluntary churn forecast, while providing insight into movements and trends through effective communication with key stakeholders.

Key Accountabilities

Maintain and support the consolidated churn forecast ensuring clarity of movements in trends, variances to forecasts/budgets are explained and the tracking of key initiatives

Maintains and develops the voluntary churn model to enhance the predictive powers linked to key drivers and indicators, whilst ensuring flexibility for scenario/sensitivity modelling
*

Builds a good understanding of the operating environment to provide context to trends and movements and any future impacts as a result of operational initiative/plans
*

Builds and maintains self-service reporting to enable operational and commercial teams to understand performance on the day
*

Communicates effectively with all appropriate levels of Virgin Media the churn forecast status and any decisions required
*

Acts as key liaison within Commercial and the relevant Operational Teams offering guidance on voluntary churn performance
*

Demonstrate Virgin Values & Behaviours and proactively manage personal development in conjunction with your line manager

Typical knowledge, experience and skills

*

Ability to tailor communication style to the audience, ensuring the presentation is clear and concise and actions required are delivered and followed through
*

Proven analytical and insight experience within an Forecasting and Insight team, preferably in Telecommunications environment, with an ability to demonstrate commercial acumen to understand the challenges within the business
*

A strong desire for continuous improvement with good attention to detail and the willingness to challenge and progress in an ever changing environment
*

Ability to deliver to tight deadlines across multiple priorities
*

Strong technical ability in MS Excel is a requirement
*

Experience of SQL with a desire to develop
*

Previous and demonstrable Qliksense / Qlikview (or similar) an advantage
*

Use of forecast planning tools a strong advantage
