Virgin Media are looking for a Communications Executive - Channels to help tell our story and ensure our employees are always kept informed. This role will specifically focus on the delivery of the communication channels strategy as well as the creation of content to be used across our channel infrastructure.
A great opportunity to make a significant impact across a broad and diverse business, key responsibilities of this role will include:

* Working closely with the Head of Communications and Internal Communications Manager to understand broader internal communications (IC) strategy and how activity can be effectively prioritised and delivered.
* Delivering and creating internal communications, campaigns and events to support the Channels and Content strategy as well as wider divisional strategies.
* Ensuring all channels, campaigns and key messages used for all communications are maintained, effective, timely and aligned to the wider agenda across the department.
* Rationalising channels and conducting audience segmentation across Virgin Media.
* Monitoring the effectiveness of communications channels and supporting with communications channels audits.
* Creating a communications best-practice document and advising employees on effective communications.
* Building and maintaining a strong remote communications network to gain their support in delivering communications campaigns and activities where appropriate.
* Aligning with the central IC team to ensure broad availability of IC infrastructure for employee networking & information sharing.
* Ensuring all communication campaigns and engagement activity spend is in line with the budget.
* Acting as a key resource and support to the Head of Communications, but also liaising and working with business leaders directly when required.
Everyone in our Communications Team has a creative approach with the ability to work under pressure and to short timescales. To join us as an Communications Executive - Channels we would need you to have:

* Strong knowledge communications channels and developments, with extensive experience using SharePoint and similar content management systems.
* Previous online communication experience; updating intranets, posting communications to social media sites.
* An interest in emerging communications technologies and developing new digital ways to communicate with colleagues.
* Proven copy writing experience, with excellent oral and written communication skills.
* The ability to manage multiple projects/tasks simultaneously.
* Experience writing for senior stakeholders as a ghost writer
* The ability to collaborate with others and manage upwards effectively
* Working knowledge of Photoshop, Final Cut Pro, Adobe creative suite and other graphics editing software.
