This is an exciting time to join Virgin Media as an L&D Lead for Consumer. As part of the wider L&D Senior Leadership Team (SLT), you will influence and enable Virgin Media’s L&D strategy in order to effectively support company goals and objectives. Acting in a Divisional Business Partner capacity for the Consumer Divisional SLT, you will also advise on all L&D matters and work with the Consumer People Director to ensure the needs of the division are met fully and to the highest possible standards.
This is a broad role, covering the identification of annual divisional learning needs, the creation of clear plans to deliver on these needs, and consultation through to development and delivery of programmes. Your duties will be wide ranging, but ultimately you will be responsible for:

* Providing key stakeholder L&D business partnering, learning consultation and L&D governance to divisional SLT, delivering a learning strategy supportive of Virgin Media’s digital learning strategy, ROI, quality and reporting framework.
* Influencing the SLT, divisional People Director, Head of People and People Business Partners in supporting appropriate development interventions to drive improvements against KPI’s.
* Partnering with the Consumer People Director to continually assess current and future L&D divisional needs, providing a holistic, strategic lens over how offerings can meet demands.
* Establishing the learning governance strategy in conjunction with operational L&D Academy Leads, ensuring it is implemented and owned in order to execute against overall L&D strategy.
* Day to day operational management of Outsourced L&D Managed Service Provider, ensuring KPI’s/SLAs are met.
* Working with Outsourced L&D Managed Service Provider to find efficiencies and opportunities to improve how L&D works in VM and ensuring contract compliance.
* Producing, managing, evaluating and reporting on the divisional Annual Learning Plan and related funding allocations; agreeing academies structure and content ownership.
* Ensuring strategic and detailed divisional training needs analysis is carried out for all L&D requests to determine ‘right fit’ solutions, against identified performance gaps.
* Continually evaluating the effectiveness of interventions to ensure delivery in line with SLT expectations and identified performance measures.
* Securing business sponsorship for high-impact learning initiatives in conjunction with L&D strategy and Academy programmes.
* Owning the budget and reporting on progress throughout the year for respective division.
* Making recommendations on investment strategy and priorities that support overall divisional and L&D strategy; managing reporting of divisional learning budgets.
* Being accountable for the integrity of the operating model and organisation design (per divisional/central structure and governance models).
Everyone in our L&D Team has a proactive and collaborative approach to work, with a keen eye for detail and the ability to adapt to constant changing demands positively and effectively. If you join us as a L&D Lead for Consumer we would want you to have:

* Extensive experience developing and managing strategic and operational L&D within a complex customer orientated / commercial multi-site environment.

* Experienced in business partnering to Director/Executive Director Level.
* Specialist skills in learning consultancy, solutions analysis, curriculum design, content design and development.
* Proficient project management experience, with ability to operate at a ‘programme’ level.
* A background in consulting on talent & performance management.
