Job purpose

The Global Security Engagement Manager , within IT is dedicated to security project governance & engagement across 12 European countries (including Pan European harmonisation). The Global Security Engagement Manager is responsible for maintaining and delivering the Security By Design process within Global Security across Pan European footprint and wider global reach
Success is measured via the successful engagement and secure delivery of all projects / programmes and engagement requests to defined scope, cost & schedule parameters.
Success will be illustrated and presented via regular and clear KPI reporting. The key stakeholders are the GDO, T&I Compliance, Legal and Finance to ensure projects are delivered to meet security, compliance and legal requirements in line with agreed budgets

Key Accountabilities

* The Global Security Engagement Manager is accountable for ensuring consistent engagement and response from all GSEC stakeholders to Project and non project engagement requests
* Ensure all IA and IIA impact from GSEC teams are coordinated and recorded with Project teams
* Governance of ALL projects with GSEC identified impact and the primary interface to the GDO ensuring that Security Standards and Policies are fed in at an early stage to all engagement requests
* Manage and maintain the Security By Design Process, developing continuous improvement plans to drive efficiencies and cost reductions
* Own and communicate Security Engagement Framework to all stakeholders identifying gaps and requirements
* Manage resourcing requirements on behalf of GSEC in line with approved project resource requirements ensuring costs are collated and resource requests are raised to meet project time lines
* Define and deliver regular PIs & KPIs for GSECAE highlighting any anomalies and present via regular reporting to GSECAE Director

Knowledge & Experience
Preferred education/ qualifications:

* Degree or equivalent experience
* Ideally Experience in a Tier 1 Telco or Cable Operator
* Has commercial and relevant technical expertise, often in a variety of environments
* Good understanding and experience of project delivery frameworks
* Good understanding of Security fundamentals and compliance requirements
* Demonstrates in depth knowledge of project management methodologies and current ‘good practice’ thinking
* Proficient in Management reporting able to identify risks, KPIs, efficiency improvements an finance reporting
* Inspires others to follow the same high standards
* Familiar with business proposals, including methods and techniques for preparing and presenting business cases, invitations to tender and statements of requirements both orally and in writing
* Strong analytical skills to review, identify and develop improvement plans
* Demonstrates competence in key areas of management and leadership expertise including communication, staff direction and motivation, financial planning and control, quality management, risk analysis and the achievement of targets
* Demonstrates the leadership skills needed to handle innovation and change resulting from the implementation of new information and communications technology solutions.
* Possesses a high level of management skills, with particular emphasis on interpersonal and negotiating skills and the ability to motivate staff
* Strong communication, influencing, coaching and negotiation skills to lever and engage our people
* Shows sensitivity and an awareness of the social, environmental and corporate impact of transformation
