We are looking for a talented commercial analysis professional that is looking for a challenging role in a fast-moving, progressive working environment. The role of Commercial Manager in our base trading team is newly created and is at the core of development plans in the wider department.

Our commercial function acts as the architect of our revenue growth through customer value propositioning, base management, customer strategy, pricing and forecasting. The team works cross-functionally to lead process design which creates our portfolio of profit-maximising products and bundles leading to growth in operating cash flow, increases our NPS and optimises ROI.

The role

Responsible for proactively managing performance of Virgin Media’s Cross-Sell & Up-Sell (XSUS), mitigating churn/downspin & commercially leading the creation of Virgin Media’s customer loyalty program. Working across the business to develop plans to both grow revenue and retain customers, identify risks/opportunities and implementing propositions to respond to the changing market and trading conditions.

Specifically, this will involve:
* Support the Senior Commercial Manager in all necessary activities regarding proactive base trading.
* Optimise plans for XSUS commercial performance, including revenue, volume, ARPU, product attach rates and tier mix
* Optimise plans for mitigating churn/downspin; preventing customers from calling into retentions whilst ensuring positive impacts on ARPU & NPS performance
* Commercial lead for the creation of Virgin Media’s Loyalty program, defining the key customer groups it should target, evaluating the benefit and constructing customer offers/freebies that should be included within it
* Optimise plans for reducing calls and increasing customer self-serve throughout all stages in a customer’s life-cycle
* Be the XSUS and churn/downspin mitigation point of contact for the Agile workstream; design and implement innovative tests that can then be implemented at scale within the business.

* Provide weekly updates on Commercial Trading Performance, identifying risks and opportunities and proposing changes to improve performance across the business
* Work closely with Competitor Intelligence team to assess competitive landscape and anticipate risks and opportunities to Virgin Media, design appropriate propositions to respond
* Financial modelling and development of business cases to support proposed offers & propositions
* Liaise with the Delivery team to ensure quality implementation of identified offers & propositions
* Planning time frame for the team is generally 3 to 9 months (i.e 2-3 quarters from today)
