This role has been created as part of the significant investment Virgin Media is making into its data, CRM and analytics function in 2018, where we are dramatically expanding the team in order to further tap in to our extensive, rich datasets.

Our campaign operations department is responsible for the planning and delivery of DM, email and outbound campaigns, as well as for digital targeting, personalisation and to develop new and improved CRM systems and processes.

Role purpose

This role supports the Senior Matrix Coordinator in making sure that there is a complete and comprehensive in-month campaign plan (Matrix) that describes a co-ordinated brief for campaign execution across mail, email, SMS and telemarketing for new customer acquisition, existing customer cross-sell, up-sell and other communications. Also ensures QC of content in proactive comms channels.

New responsibilities for the Campaign Operations team where this role sits also include:
* The coordination of Adobe Campaign outputs to target Digital and Social Media audiences with the additional liaison and process-definition activities that this entails.
* The development and running of new processes driven by the additional integration between Adobe Campaign and the digital modules of the Adobe software, and the incorporation of SMS and email send from the one tool, making the impacts of any issues both more widespread and instantaneous.

Principle responsibilities
* Provide the liaison interface between campaign delivery and: campaign planning and campaign management; operational and econometric forecasting; reporting; analytics; production teams (e.g. print, email, social media targeting); Digital
* Work with these teams to: co-ordinate and communicate planned contact strategy, campaign briefs and campaign drop phasing; maintain campaign reference information and provide input to forecasting; allocate and validate response phone numbers; QC content proofs through proactive channels (e.g. Mail and email templates).
* Matrix management, including: Plan initial kick off meeting to agree activity prior to circulating matrix; Maintain and circulate key dates; Circulate drafts and final versions of matrix and set follow-up meetings to discuss and approve; Create follow up matrix and circulate to teams to finalise and sign off; Check actual volumes and update matrix document, issuing to all relevant parties; Maintain quality of campaign reference information (i.e. meta data) including facilitating capture, training and ongoing enhancement
* Responsible for VCB (Virgin Media’s campaign briefing system) development and training and inductions for new campaign managers.

What we’re ideally looking for
* Strong business problem solving skills in functional area
* Good interpersonal, communication and relationship building skills, comfortable at working at all levels.
* Broad range of expertise in data processing techniques and tools.
* Great organisational and planning skills in marketing project delivery management, able to prioritise tasks efficiently and deal with multiple requirements accurately
* Good knowledge of database marketing, possibly with professional qualifications in this area
* Good understanding of MS Office applications, specifically MS Excel for producing and maintaining the matrix
* Strong understanding of relevant data protection legislation, best practice guidance and consumer and customer consents that govern consumer interactions.

Technical skills we’re looking for
* Practical experience of campaign planning, data planning and print production processes
* Demonstrable quality control experience for creative and copy content approvals
* Good MS Office skills including Excel

* Self-starter but able to work constructively and collaboratively within a team as well as independently.
* Strong attention to detail in a high pressure, sometimes regulated, environment
* Willing to defend position and escalate issues to senior management
