This is an exciting time to join Virgin Media as an S&OP Planner. Reporting to the S&OP and Performance Manager you’ll be part of the Supply Chain Team ensuring local and Global key stakeholders have the latest information, reporting on selected KPIs and directly supporting Supply Chain with all aspects of the S&OP process.

With this opportunity you will be initiating and driving forward a new S&OP process demonstrating best practices for forecasting and demand planning.

This role will be based in our Hook offices in Hampshire.

Key Accountabilities:

* Prepare, analyse and submit both long and short term forecast data
* Responsible for the overall reporting management of network materials from the local perspective
* Analyse project, BAU and statistical forecasts and provide analytical reports to the wider team on a monthly basis
* Provide insight, analysis and risks to key stakeholders through constant monitoring
* Work closely with the demand planners on forecasts ensuring trends are identified and replicated
* Lead phase in / phase out process activities ensuring slow moving stock, end of life trends and new demand is identified and integrated into forecasts with changes highlighted to all relevant stakeholders
* Highlight shortages and capacity constraint possibilities as soon as possible
* Continually review forecasts and schedules to promote performance improvements and cost efficiencies
* Perform weekly and monthly administrative tasks in relation to the forecasting process
* Responsible for extracting consistent and accurate data
* Manage master data
* System administration
* Participate in Supply Chain improvement projects
* Support other areas of Supply Chain operations

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

* Good understanding of planning, developing and operating optimized inventory models developed during Material and Inventory Planning to guide inventory management objectives
* KPIs to measure results and drive performance improvements
* Good problem solving, decision making, team work and collaboration capabilities
* Good working knowledge of ERP and purchasing processes and applications i.e. SAP, Oracle
* Good working knowledge of MS Office applications, especially Excel and Powerpoint
* Strong analytical and problem solving skills with commitment to accuracy and efficiency
* Strong written and verbal communication skills, with ability to develop and deliver executive level reporting.
* Able to demonstrate advanced Excel skills - pivot tables and VLookups
* Experience with BOXI would be a bonus
* Experience of using APS - JDA (Desirable)
* S&OP Experience (desirable)
* Access experience (desirable)
