Retail sits within the Consumer sales arm of Virgin Media, providing the ultimate in home entertainment experience. In our Retail stores customers can try out Virgin Media’s services before they buy including digital TV, packed with thousands of TV shows and movies, blistering broadband speeds of up to 300Mb and fantastic phone and sim only products.

Role Purpose

Working as part of the Retail Environment and Operations Team, Retail Sales Support provide an essential live back office support role for the Retail stores, ensuring that potential lost sales are retained within channel.
The support function is across both Mobile and Media product offerings ensuring that sales opportunities are maximised.
Post sale support activity is extensive to ensure that cancelled orders are minimised, positive NPS retained for Retail, and channel reporting of sales is consistent with anticipated volume.
Key Accountabilities

To provide a back office sales support function for Virgin Media Retail Stores and Kiosks for mobile products.
* To manage the order process from Virgin Media Retail Stores and Kiosks ensuring customer specifics are met and orders are tracked through entry, despatch and delivery.
* Review and input orders onto Virgin Media systems, including Point of Sale orders.
* Liaise with other key Virgin Media departments and contacts including internal teams, store teams and regional management, and Virgin Media warehouses and couriers.
* Maintain good working relationships with all key stakeholders within the Retail Channel and external departments
* To understand the Virgin Media Retail Store and Kiosk proposition and marketing strategies.
* To provide offline support for Virgin Media Retail Stores through periods of application issues.
* To maintain data for the Virgin Media Store Locator including up to date addresses and opening times
* Provide information in a professional and confidential manner to the Retail loss prevention team.

Essential Knowledge, Experience and Skills

Good working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
* Ability to learn Virgin Media specific tools and applications
* Must be a confident communicator, there will be extensive business communication with stores and internal & external customers.
* Must be able to manage multiple workloads at the same time, adjusting focus as priorities evolve.
* Must be flexible to adapt to changes in Retail trading times (currently trade operates across 7 days a week).

Desirable Knowledge, Experience and Skills

Experience of front line Retail operational processes.
* Experience working in a sales driven environment.
* Experience in a customer focused role within a call centre environment.
