This is an exciting time to join Virgin Media as a People Business Partner. You will provide both the strategic and operational HR interface with the business, driving people engagement, leading and supporting the people strategy and bringing to life the Virgin HR vision. It’s not just your job to partner the business however, you will drive people engagement, leading and supporting the people strategy and bringing to life the Virgin HR vision.
Your duties will be wide ranging, but ultimately you will be responsible for:

* Partnering with business stakeholders and the Senior People Business Partner to understand and determine the appropriate people interventions that support business strategy, with the ultimate goal of driving increased business performance.
* Partnering with Centres of Excellence to shape solutions, through to full implementation in line with Virgin Media’s commercial strategy.
* Working with the Senior People Business Partner to ensure divisional alignment of people plans.
* Supporting business leaders and managers in facilitating the delivery of organisational projects and divisional people initiatives, including cyclical HR activity such as pay review.
* Proactively driving improvements in business performance through the design of a variable pay scheme which acts as an enabler for Customer Contact to meet value management objectives.
* Utilising experience in both Employee Relations and Change projects to help deliver on transformational projects into various lines of business, which includes a review of shift and operating hours and to travel to different Centres for implementation and overall stakeholder management.
* Demonstrating commitment to a strong relationship with our people through our leaders and Voice forums aligning to our Employee Relations strategy.
* Supporting transformational activity through a strong change management approach to ensure the way that People change is delivered, is consistent with our brand values and cultural principles.

* Analysing Management Information to determine areas requiring action and recommending proactive solutions on such areas as attrition, attendance management, training needs, performance management, reward and recognition, employee engagement, resourcing and benchmarking for your client group with guidance from the Senior People Business Partner to ensure divisional alignment and monitoring successes & ROI.
Everyone in our People Team has a proactive approach to work, with a keen eye for detail and the ability to deliver to deadlines. If you join us as a People Business Partner we would want you to have:

* Strong project management skills and ideally fully CIPD Qualified (or equivalent business qualification) with relevant experience.
* Prior experience delivering a proactive HR service in a fast paced, progressive HR environment.
* Previous experience of managing significant change and transformation projects, ideally in relation to shift review and operating hours.
* Excellent communication and relationship building skills (particularly with senior stakeholders).
* Strong facilitation and consultancy skills; able to consult on a range of relatively complex People issues with a proven ability to deliver against a range of conflicting demands.

* Sound understanding of HR policies and procedures, best practice and current thinking regarding effective and commercially sound employment practices.
