Virgin Media is currently searching for an amazingly creative Senior Graphic Designer who has a strong eye for detail and understands / keeps track of creative trends. This role is part of the Learning & Development division.

What’s the purpose of this role?

The Graphic Designer will create high quality innovative assets, bringing them to life, modelling, animation, output and delivering innovative graphic design and digital learning solutions content.
The day to day focus for the role will be supporting the Virgin Media Learning and development

We are looking for a Senior Graphic Designer who can take concepts and make them look and feel amazing. An ability to share best practices with junior members of the team and a passion for staying up to date with new styles and ways of working is a must.

What does the job entail?

In role of Senior Graphic Designer you will be required to understand a variety of mediums; UX/UI, motion graphics, animation, augmented reality, web design , videography and virtual reality.
You would be responsible for a number of key activities including a few of the following:
* Plan concept by studying information and materials.
* Illustrate concept by designing rough layout of art and copy regarding arrangement, size, type and style, and related aesthetic concepts.
* Obtain approval of concept by submitting storyboards for approval.
* Prepare final layout by marking and pasting up finished copy and art.
* Maintain technical knowledge by attending design workshops; reviewing professional publications.
* Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
* Estimate the time required to complete the work and providing accurate timescales.
* Think creatively to produce new ideas and concepts for traditional media and online.
* Use innovation to redefine a design brief within the constraints of cost and time.
* Present finalised ideas and concepts to stakeholders.
* Work with a wide range of media, including video, apps, online academies and instructor led material.
* Proof-read to produce accurate and high quality work.
* Contribute ideas and design artwork to the overall brief.
* Demonstrate illustrative skills with rough sketches and storyboarding.
Keep abreast of emerging technologies in new media (particularly design programs such as Adobe Creative Cloud Suite).
* Assist the Learning Solutions Team in producing motion graphic and graphic design content.
* Where applicable, producing motion graphics and graphic design content from concept to delivery.
* Work on multiple projects concurrently, balancing time constraints whilst maintaining quality.

* Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design or related field with advanced design and video production skills, or have equivalent experience.
* An artistic background with an interesting and engaging extensive portfolio
* Possesses a solid all round set of skills, such as texturing, animation, 3D modelling, lighting & rendering.
* Experience in a design agency with digital focus, or related experience.
* Advanced motion graphics and title design expertise with an acute eye for detail essential
* Strong working skills of Adobe Creative Cloud Suite. In particular, Photoshop, Indesign, Illustrator, After Effects. Captivate would be a bonus.
* Interface design skills preferable.
* UI/UX skills and experience.
* Full clean driving license and the ability to travel.
