This is an exciting time to join Virgin Media as a Learning & Development Trainer. You will be a key member of the L&D delivery team delivering training to our front line teams, specifically looking after our VMB Sales Training Academy. Focused on equipping individuals with tools and techniques to deliver operational and personal performance, you will deliver induction, change programmes (i.e. Systems, products and processes) and core skills development programmes to support the delivery of functional KPI’s.
Supporting Operational Regions and department-wide performance strategy, your duties will be wide ranging, but ultimately you will be responsible for:

* Communicating business context through training delivery.
* Delivering interactive and engaging training to customer facing B2B Sales teams.
* Handling delegate questions effectively.
* Effectively dealing with groups of mixed ability, identifying and coaching any delegates requiring additional support.
* Anticipating and reacting to unplanned situations that require flexibility and initiative.
* Selecting and utilising appropriate training aids and media.
* Level 1 & 2 evaluation.
* Promoting self-directed and social learning, using a blended learning approach to support delegate understanding.
* Acting as a role model for Virgin Media culture, values and behaviour, ensuring these are brought alive in training content and delivery.
* Establishing and maintaining credibility by demonstrating the required level of knowledge across B2B Sales, projecting confidence and professionalism within the business and the training room.
* Providing insight and feedback to the Design team to continually improve training content and materials.
* Continually assessing personal performance, receiving feedback and taking action to ensure knowledge and area of expertise is current and meets both Virgin Media standards and external benchmarks.
* Given the wide range of delegates you will be delivering training to, you will be expected to travel to your stakeholders providing Training and Development expertise in various forms, such as identification of training delivery and evaluation.

Multi-skilled and versatile, our Learning & Development Trainers truly are vital to the success of our Academies. To be successful in this role we would want you to have:

* Proven operational knowledge from a prior role focused on either Sales or Sales training.
* An understanding of L&D Methodologies, including Training delivery and Evaluation 1 & 2 (Kirkpatrick).
* A valid driving license.
* Excellent communications skills.
* The ability to adapt to constant changing demands positively and effectively.
* An assertive manner, with the ability to handle resistance and challenging behaviour.
* Appropriate training qualification/accreditation (e.g. TAP) - desirable.
* Appropriate accreditation - desirable.
