Join our team at Virgin Media Mobile as our Commercial Planning Manager and you will provide strategic, planning and process support to the Virgin Mobile Leadership Team. The Commercial Planning Manager will report to the Strategy Director, providing support to all functions of the division (Marketing, Customer, Trading, Products and Propositions, as well as Strategy), as well as working closely with matrixed functions (Finance, Customer Ops, Sales and HR). A true collaborator!

Your responsibilities will include:

* Support with the preparation of key documentation for the Virgin Mobile Leadership Team and occasionally, Virgin Media Executive Committee meetings.
* Accountability for liaising with key internal stakeholders to source required inputs, data and insights in an accurate and timely way.
* Plan and coordinate management and decision-making processes. Ensure that a balance is struck between rigor and speed to ensure the smooth and effective running of the business.
* Preparedness. Be accountable for Virgin Mobile Leadership Team members having the presentations, content, briefing and data required to be effective in ad hoc internal and external meetings.
* Programme and project status. Reviewing the progress and status of key projects and programmes within, and affecting, Virgin Mobile and highlighting issues or risks.
* Cost control. Work with Finance to ensure that in-flight and planned projects are reviewed regularly covering costs, scope and benefits. .
* Own the business continuity plans. Responsible for developing and evolving Virgin Mobile’s plans to maintain ‘business continuity.’
* Risk management. Develop and manage the risk register for Virgin Mobile, updating it on a regular basis, and ensuring that appropriate risk mitigation plan are in place.
* Strategy development. Support the Strategy Director, continuously evolving the Virgin Mobile strategic plan.
* Business Planning. Assist in the production of the annual Long Range Plan for Virgin Mobile, and support the Budget in-year re-budgeting processes.
* Pushing digital transformation. Support in developing the digital transformation plans in coordination with Customer Journeys & Digital.

What are we looking for?

* Highly numerate and strong proficiency in MS Excel and manipulating and presenting data.
* Black belt in MS PowerPoint, with excellent skills in creating compelling presentations - with both quantitative and qualitative
* Good project management and organisational skills
* Ability to envision market/ product developments and customer trends 1-5 years out
* Ability to see the bigger picture as well as dive into and get into the detail
* Strategic thinking
* Market and competitor analysis
* Good understanding of mobile communications consumer needs, trends and behaviours would be awesome
* Strong understanding of digital commercial models and future developments
* Strong experience in a commercial and/ or product field for a large scale consumer brand
