This is an exciting time to join Virgin Media as a Data & Information Capability Manager. In this role you will develop and maintain the end to end business data model, acting as information management advisor to business change delivery projects and chairing the business/technology cross functional data management group.

You will manage demand into our data warehouse platform to promote the reuse of existing data models and mitigating risks to existing capabilities, along with mitigating the risk of degrading data quality and customer experience through the delivery of business change.
This is a wide ranging role that will take the lead on protecting the integrity of Virgin Media Business data so that we remain compliant, maximise business benefit and enable great customer experience.

A true business/technology hybrid role, this will require a good understanding of how data is modelled and will touch on all areas of a business as well as the technology that underpins it. The role holder will understand the backbone of a business that comprises of process and technology with a particular focus on Lead to Cash processes, including all customer touchpoints.

You will have a significant focus on how technology and data capabilities can be employed to enable the business to gain insight into the data the business and customers create. Sitting in the Business Transformation team, the data capability manager has visibility of all business demand that results in changes to the business systems and data warehouse so that opportunity is created to reuse existing data as well as avoiding issues arising from poor design.

* Strong communicator with the ability to adjust style when required
* Ability to work in a matrix managing internal customers as well as suppliers
* Great attention to detail with the ability to apply a lens of simplification when required
* Process analysis and design skills.
* Must be comfortable working in a matrix environment where the day to day functional management will be within a project organisation rather than a line organisation.
* Is resilient and able to drive projects forward when faced with challenges, constantly assessing risks and providing mitigation options.
