This is an exciting time to join Virgin Media as an Oracle OBIEE/ODI Developer. You will provide the technical solution for all Oracle HR Analytics Reporting business requirement including big projects and small Non Project requirements. Should be able to understand the business requirement, design the solution and implement it. Provide Second line technical support for Oracle HR Analytics Reporting Application. Capture, understand and assess criticality of the problems reported by end users and be in a position to resolve the issues within the SLA. Perform the necessary BAU activities to make sure the Oracle HR Analytics solution is up to date.

Your duties will be wide ranging, but ultimately you will be responsible for:

* Develop and maintain Virgin Media Oracle HR Analytics reporting application ensuring the alignment of application with business and project requirements.
* Resolve small to medium issues and develop technical solutions working with HR Functional SMEs
* Take ownership of the technical delivery of smaller scale Non Project Requirements.
* Ensure the solution designed and developed are within the guidelines for Oracle Support.
* Monitor and identify problems in HR Analytics reporting solution system every day.
* Ensure system issues are resolved on time and efficiently to meet the team’s deadlines.
* Provide routine production support through technical solutions
* Actively promote suggestions to automate proactive or regular monitoring activity
* Actively develop and share knowledge of new product areas for reporting solutions related Oracle E-business suite.
* Develop functional knowledge within Oracle e-Business HR module in due course of time.
Everyone in our Oracle team has a proactive approach to work, with a keen eye for detail and the ability to deliver to deadlines. If you join us as an Oracle OBIEE/ODI Developer we would want you to have:
* Significant experience in design and development of Data Warehousing and Business Intelligence Applications.
* Significant experience in data modelling, Multi-Dimensional modelling/Star Schema.
* Extensive knowledge in ETL Tool Oracle Data Integrator 11g.
* Extensive knowledge in designing/modelling repositories using Oracle BI Admin tool 11g.
* Strong knowledge in creating Dashboard/reports in OBIEE.
* Strong knowledge in configuring/creating BI Publisher reports.
* Strong knowledge in SQL/PLSQL and performance optimization techniques for data warehouse application.
* Experience in OBIA 11g specifically related to HCM module like Workforce, Payroll, Absences, is preferable although not mandatory.
* Experience in e-business specifically related to HRMS/Payroll/Advanced Benefits is preferable although not mandatory.
* Has experience working on wider implementation and change-led projects.
* Has experience in supporting and resolving incidents for Oracle ERP specialist area and related applications.
* Practical understanding of delivery processes and methodologies. Demonstrates understanding of service concepts, and ensuring the customer is central to all IT activities.
* Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent, in Information Technology, Computer Science, or other related degree.
* Strong problem analysis skills with the ability to think creatively about possible problem solutions.
* Determines when to escalate issues to vendors and changes which will improve quality of support service.
* Strong communication and organizational skills.
* Excellent attention to detail and follow-up.
* Ability to troubleshoot independently and escalate issues in a timely and effective manner.
* Ability to work effectively in a project/team environment.
* Demonstrate good judgment and the ability to work in a customer oriented environment.
* Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively.
* Ability to demonstrate both functional and technical aptitude.
