We are looking for a talented, curious statistical modelling professional that is looking to elevate their career in a fast-moving, forward-thinking working environment. Virgin Media’s customer insight and analytics function manages a large portfolio of activities that provide analytical solution designs and insights in support of various functional departments and business areas. This is a very much a 'hands-on' role where the majority of the role is contributing and leading strong analytics and modelling against plan.

Principle Responsibilities
* Support the use of models and other information for prospect and customer targeting by driving the insight to ensure these areas are optimised for the business. This may include logistic regression, clustering, decision trees, random forests, XG Boost, k-means and others for prospect and customer targeting
* Apply comprehensive knowledge and understanding of concepts, techniques and procedures of a variety of statistical techniques to produce insight
* Takes a leading role in communicating the analytics plan, insights to relevant audiences and key stakeholders and delivering analytical intelligence to support the optimisation of the marketing and commercial acquisition budgets
* Provides management and development support to acquisition team and the broader consumer analytics area
* Taking the lead on projects, co-ordinating and combining insight from multiple functions to provide clear analytical solutions and own the analytical plan for this area
* Working with the wider team, you’ll help translate technical, data-centric information in to user-friendly, easy to digest information

Skills and Competencies Required
* Advanced analytical skills, particularly in using logistic regression, clustering, decision trees, random forests, XG Boost, k-means and others for prospect targeting
* Use of SQL, SAS, R and/or other software such as SPSS in performing analysis
* Numerate, data-focussed degree
* Excellent technical and innovation skills with good business/marketing understanding to exploit them
* You’ll be a strong communicator, with a great ability to develop strong relationships with colleagues and other departments
* Intimately familiar with a broad range of analytical approaches, and research techniques and tools to generate data-derived insight

* Familiarity with emerging technologies and its impact on analytics and user behaviour
* Ability to clearly communicate actionable insights and complex findings
